Print and Poster Styles
Ski Prints currently provide two styles of print, framed and canvas:
Print Sizing The Framed Print size listed is the size of the glass/perspex. So for mounted prints the size is for the image + mount. t. For example a mounted 20x24 frame would have a print which is 16x20" (with 2" mount around it).
The print: features premium, 200gsm, fine art paper which reproduces photography and artworks with exceptional tonality and renders sharp details with consistent flatness and accuracy. The print has a matt finish and a 100 years ink guarantee.
The Frame: hand-crafted by a specialist framer. Created from high-quality wood, the frames are milled with simple clean lines and presented with a satin finish. The frame has a square profile measuring 20mm (front face) by 23mm (depth from wall).
The mount: cut from premium, 1.4mm mount-board. The board is 'conservation grade', FSC certified, 100% acid free, and will not discolour or fade with age.
Delivered fully strung, ready for hanging.
Frames are available in black, white or natural.
The Canvas Print: printed on premium, 400gsm, artist-grade polycotton canvas. The print has a subtle textured finish, reproducing image detail with outstanding clarity and precision.
The frame: each canvas is stretched over a custom wooden frame before being hand-finished; ensuring each corner fold is perfectly smooth, tight and that all fixing staples are covered with special protective tape.
Edging: available in white or image wrap.
Please note: white edging results in entire print being on the face of the canvas where as image wrapping results in the edges of the print being visible wrapped around the edges. Please ensure you view the picture of selected option prior to purchase.

The ski posters are printed for us around the world by Fine Art America, minimising postage cost and time and maximising quality.
Our ski posters are high quality prints, produced on acid-free papers using archival inks to guarantee that they last a lifetime without fading or loss of colour. All ski posters include a 1" white border around the image to allow for future framing and matting, if desired.
Which Paper Should I Choose?
We get this question a lot, so here are our recommendations.
We recommend using the ARCHIVAL MATTE PAPER choice for your ski poster. Long-lasting and versatile, this heavy-weight matte finish paper is engineered for high contrast and crisp reproduction of high-resolution images. This paper is neutral white and and acid-free for archival longevity. 230 gsm / 9.5 mil.
We don't recommend GLOSSY PAPERS due to the light reflections but SEMI-MATTE PHOTO PAPER. would be a good choice if you want a little sheen. This paper has an understated semi-matte finish which is optimized for maximum presentation quality with minimum glare. 260 gsm / 10 mil.
While the above are our top recommendations, we've included some information about the other paper types below:
LUSTER PHOTO PAPER. This paper is the happy medium preferred by portrait photographers for its cheerful sheen. It has a delicate sparkle.. 250 gsm / 10 mil
PICTURE RAG. Cool Tone Picture Rag is an acid-free paper made from 100% cotton rag. It holds incredibly vivid true colours, making it a good choice for a Pete Caswell Painting. 300 gsm / 24 mil.
SOMERSET VELVET. This radiant white paper offers vivid colour reproduction and deep, rich blacks for amazing contrast. With a texture that gently softens the overall effect, it adds an extra hint of warmth to the print. This is a 100% cotton rag paper. 255 gsm / 19 mil.
WATERCOLOuR PAPER. This is a neutral-toned, acid-free paper made from 100% cotton rag. While usually used for Watercolour art reproductions, this paper still reproduces Pete's oil paintings beautifully, with a textured finish and satisfying weight.
METALLIC PAPER. Metallic paper prints are a budget-friendly way to create modern wall art. Metallic paper provides an exceptionally vibrant print with the shine and shimmer of metal. This highly durable paper is mostly white with a signature metallic finish, making it ideal for a wide range of images.
