I don't know why I love this place so much but I do. The Grande Motte Cable Car at Tignes, Val d'Isere is a stunning destination. From the top of the funicular to the top of Grande Motte cable car, has to be my favourite place in the world. I have had so many coffees in the restaurant here waiting for the cable car to open for a first descent in powder and picketed the start of the Leisse piste along with other desperate skiers and boarders waiting for the opening for the prize first tracks. Its as if the place has an other world reality. Put this one down as my favourite glacier in the Alps with Mt Fort second. Colourful and fun painting with fun images of skiers and boarders. Grande Motte towers over the cable car station.
