Description
Blackfriars Bridge over the River Thames in London with St Paul’s Cathedral in the background. Set under a stunning blue sky of floating white clouds. Semi abstract impressionism. This is a beautiful painting of central London and one of the many bridges over the River Thames. The bridge Cathedral and the sky are the most stunning parts of the painting with the blocks of buildings giving a fixed contrast to the moving colours of the rest of the scene. I love the turquoises and blues of the sky, the pinks in the bridge and the light catching the domes of the cathedral. The main central building is the Unilever buildings with the Templars complex starting off to the left of the edge of the painting. Size 80 x 100cm x 1.7cm oil on canvas.
